My Favorite Nude Lipsticks
I am always looking for new ideas to write blog posts about, so when the owner of Hello Ruby, Jill, suggested I do a post about nude lipsticks I was thrilled. Sometimes I get stumped when thinking of ideas and love to know what people want to read about! I want to try and include lipsticks for all skin tones because I know that not everyone is as ghostly white as me. I will list my favorites and throw out some other suggestions too!
First of all, Maybelline has some KILLER nudes. They have whole lipstick lines devoted to it! So these first few I am going to recommend are from Maybelline but I truly do love them and stand by them.
Fair to Light Skin Tones: ⬇️
1. Maybelline Color Sensational Inti-Matte Nudes in "Peach Buff" Price: $7.99
I have been loving this color recently, it looks great when I am pale and when I have a spray tan. I think this shade would look good on anyone with fair to medium skin tones. It does look a little brighter the darker you are so this one is great for those of us with light skin tones! Lipstick linked here.
2. Maybelline Color Sensational Creamy Matte Lip in "Daringly Nude" Price: $7.99
This is another one of my favorites, I feel like again I can wear it without self tanner and with self tanner. I used it in my go-to makeup look which I will link here. And the lipstick itself will be linked here.
3. NARS Satin Finish Lipstick in "Cruising" Price: $28.00
The thing I love about this lipstick from NARS is the fact that it is very sheer, and buildable. This works great on very fair skin tones, it doesn't show up on my lips that much when I do have a self tan and it kind of blends in. But when I am at my palest it looks really nice.
Medium to Tan Skin Tones: ⬇️
1. Everlasting Liquid Lipstick - Kat Von D in "Bow N Arrow" Price: $20.00
I had to consult my roomie, Amanda on this portion of the lip colors. This shade from Kat Von D looks amazing on her and anyone with more golden skin tones. Linked here.
2. MAC Satin Lipstick in "Faux" Price: $17.00
This color is one of my favs! It looks amazing on everyone but I think it really looks pretty on warmer skin tones. Lipstick linked here.
3. Too Faced Melted Matte Liquified Lipstick in "Cool Girl" Price: $21.00
I saw a picture of Amanda Ensing (Beauty Vlogger) wearing this recently and it looked so pretty. I think this would be a must try for medium skin tones! Linked here.
Dark to Deep Skin Tones: ⬇️
1. Colourpop Ultra Matte Lip in "Beeper" Price: $6.00
This color is such a pretty dark matte, Colourpop calls it a "greige rose" on their website and I would have to agree. I have seen girls with deep complexions wear it and it looks stunning on them! Linked here.
2. Tarte Color Splash Hydrating Lipstick in "5 o'clock" Price: $21.00
Another shade that is gorgeous! And I like that this one is hydrating. Sometimes matte lipsticks, while they are pretty, can be too drying for my lips. This lipstick is linked here.
3. Maybelline Color Sensational Inti-Matte Nudes in "Raw Chocolate" Price: $7.99
I had to consult another beauty guru, this time Jackie Aina! I love her makeup tutorials and she recently posted a picture in this color on her Instagram and it looked amazing. Lipstick linked here.
